Quick Update

     Please bear with me as a few posts have somehow triggered a "hold" by Google due to some community violation (not designated).  A review has been requested because there is nothing there that is any different in my opinon, other than posting an image from Trump's social media site with him walking alongside a lightly shackled alien, as seen in Newsweek and many other publications (the video went viral).  Perhaps the alien wasn't wearing clothes so this violated Google's nudity policy?  Who knows?  At any rate, other posts are ready as well but I am waiting to see if the requested "human" review will find anything offensive (I certainly couldn't, but took down Trump's alien photo anyway).  I am waiting a bit because if the reviewer gives it the okay, then I didn't suddenly want 3 new posts to appear at the same time.  So if nothing has happened in about 3 days (Google says to allow 10 days before a review is complete), then I'll simply jump to the next (unless it, too, gets blocked).

    Thanks to all of you still reading.  The last post about our planet and our rising CO2 emissions was difficult reading, I'll admit.  And even author Peter Brannen was less than optimistic unless the entire world entered another Great Depression.  He makes no bones that fossil fuels is just too profitable and as addictive as any drug out there.  And sadly, to read further into his book, the quest for renewables --the mining of minerals, the disposal of old solar cells and turbine blades-- is quite discouraging.  Still, it is worth a read, if you can manage it (it's rather long and, as you're aware, less than uplifting).  Our world and our politicians are motoring on as if there is no tomorrow, and at this rate, that may be the case...with over 30% of our population NOT voting overall, even during presidential elections, one has to wonder exactly what it will take to slap people out of their stupor?  Alas, I thank you for your patience and will keep you updated on the review by Google (if and when the post is published, you may scratch your head and ask, what was the big deal...but such is today's world, isn't it?).
